White Horses

These horses were spotted on a sandy beach on the Isle of Harris, Scotland. I couldn't get to them in time to include the sea in the background, but the clouds were a nice alternative. Olympus E-M1 and 40-150 lens at 1/500, f/8 and ISO 125. Richard

Richard,  how fortunate you were to have seen these beautiful (and wild?) animals in such a picturesque setting.   I think that the grass-tufted white sand can stand on its own as a scenic backdrop for the horses without the need of having a greater inclusion of seascape in the background.   My only nit would be in reference to the horse on the left, positioned to exit the scene, as being a minor distraction that draws my attention away from the composition as a whole.  Overall, it's a photo I would have loved to have taken.

A very peaceful shot of these horses, Richard!  Nicely composed and excellent clarity, especially in the large version.

I like this a lot, especially in the larger version where you can see the detail on the horses. Nice composition and very pleasing colors.
