I really like the mood of this image, Dan. I think the composition is quite classic but it works well. I wonder why f22, only for the exposure time? I envy you the D610, is it worth it?

Dan,

Wow! The large view is a must here, what a difference!  That 14mm focal length really brings this right in to the living room - so to speak; the point of view is like you're laying on your belly to get this image.  the framing of the rock at the bottom really helps give this image some depth and makes for a terrific near/far/comp.

Glorious sky and reflection. I also like how the land masses on either side draw you in to the frame.

I suppose it would be easy to want to squeeze more detail from the ridge and trees on the right, but one also realizes the time of day and direction of the light, so it's certainly accurate as presented.

Well done, this is wall hanger for sure.

The large view is sweet. Great color and great depth to the image to go with that fine sky. I definitely like this one.

Gorgeous light here, Dan.  I recognized the lake immediately (the gold lateral moraine on the left and distant peak center).  I agree with others that the large view is essential.  No nits for me, though I might be inclined to crop a tish off the top to draw the eye back to the reflection and keep it from being 50/50 (though this is the kind of image where 50/50 works so well).

Beautiful image here Dan, excellent work. I really love the light here, and I like your choice of going for a darker, moodier processing style on this one. The highlight on that rock in the center of the foreground is a really nice element within the scene.

It's a glorious sunrise/sunset Dan.  The low angle view with the foreground rocks looks great.  The long exposure did a fine job enhancing the glow in the water.

I feel this time of day looking at the image.  Would try to recover a little shadow detail if possible, but not so much to ruin the mood.  Wondering why the single rock is catching more of the reflected light?  Maybe the other are more mud covered.  Might try to create similar lighting on the other rocks if possible.

This is very beautiful and moody image, Dan. Your comp. and processing look good to me. I wouldn't change a thing. A minor observation: the two rocks in the water in front of center brighter rock seem to have some haloing. I don't know if this is just my eyes playing tricks or an artifact from dodging. In any event easy to fix if you so choose.

Even though this is a common composition it is uncommonly well done. The well lighted rock at center bottom has an important presence for me.
