A barn photographed on a cloudy, dreary day in rural Merced, Co. CA.  I made some lighting and contrast adjustments since the original photo was some what flat. Thanks for viewing and any c/c's are welcomed

A wonderful study of rural living. Techs are excellent. The every present pigeons in these settings are also nicely represented.

Hi Floyd,
I find this image interesting in part because it is almost black and white except for the green.  I don't think you did a selective coloring treatment, so it is really interesting as a representation of the scene.  I like the ornamental evergreens to the right.  They seem so formal and out of place, like they belong next to a Brentwood mansion or a funeral home, not a weathered barn.

There is a lot to like here, and I'm not sure why you are not getting a lot of feedback.  Maybe it's the M+N curse, as I like to call it.  Maybe it's that the primary barn is too much of the scene or perhaps too "head on" in your framing of it. Maybe there are too many buildings, structures, puddle, etc and so it lacks a focus.

It's a great subject and worth experimenting more.

I cloned out the outer buildings and trees.  Does this add anything to the image?

I like the color scheme in this. The detail is excellent. I prefer the original because the fence and small barn on the right add depth and lead my into the large barn.
