Spring is trying to hold off as long as possible here in the sunny south..highs in the low forties today, but a few wildflowers are bravely poking up

No bloodroot up here yet, but I can tell you that it is eagerly being awaited. The petals create a nice abstract radial pattern, but it is the dusting of pollen on the petals that I eventually drift to that I like.

David,
This just draws me in and holds my attention. Good eye for the comp and well executed.
We eagerly await our spring up here in the north and this gets me thinking more about it.

David,
This is gorgeous! We usually have a lot of bloodroot here in Vermont, but it is a ways off. I was excited to find some Pussy Willows yesterday, but couldn't get a shot of them, unfortunately. We still have a couple feet of snow in the areas that the Bloodroot like to grow, so I won't be seeing them for a while.
I love everything about this shot!

Wonderful exposure. DOF and color are right on.

Congratulations on Editor's Pick David. The Trail at Akers Mill going down to Palisades West is just loaded with Bloodroot right now, Trilliums too.

Great shot, Dave. I'm getting desperate for wildflowers, but it's been an especially cold and dreary early spring here in PA.
