Big Catch

I spent the afternoon at a nearby lake. The ducks were not as cooperative as the gulls. This guy kept trying to fly away with this Bluegill, but he kept dropping him. The fish was either too heavy, too slippery or both. Comments and critiques welcome.

Excellent shot.  The light looks great and the detail in the gull and fish really comes through.

Nice job, Jerry.  Excellent wing position in the gull and you got very good detail in both the bird and the fish.

Great timing here Jerry. Quite a large fish for this guy for sure, no surprise he couldn't put it away. devil

This is terrific Jerry, the bluegill adds nice color to the shot, I can see why the gull couldn't swallow it, the water drops add a lot too. devil

Fine timing to get the wings, the water drops and a clean shot of the fish, Jerry. Good comp as well.

Great capture of the action Jerry. You couldn't get a better angle on the fish and the trailing water is a bonus.

It always amazes me the size of the fish gulls and other birds attempt to swallow. Nice action, great view of the fish and bird, and sweet water drops.
Nice!
