Orchard spider at work

Gallery: Macro & Close-upPosted January 27, 201897 views5 comments

I took this pic on a foggy morning. The web was laden with dew and needed repair. I caught this orchard spider at work. Remnants of the dew are visible on his leg. Thanks for feedback

Great color and I really like the delicate webbing. Nice BG also.

Ry, you've got outstanding details in the spider. Adding in the shape of the web and the good background makes for an outstanding image.

Great to see you posting again!
This is wonderful - amazing colours in the spider, a great angle to get all legs visible, perfect web, and sweet BG.
Seems just a bit soft from here; perhaps a tad more sharpening would fine-tune it.
Exceptional shot!

Excellent, Ry. I like the comp and inclusion of the web. Good job isolating them against the nice bg. I also, note that you shot this with your 100-400 at 400. Just shows there is more than one way to photo insects (are are you just afraid of spiders? enlightened
