Lightweight Photography

I have been searching for a lightweight system and may have found it, my current !DX 200-400 mm  F4 combo weighs 5.164 kg which is quite a lot to hand hold.
So I thought that I would look into the Sony a9, I have bought the A9  100-200 combo this weighs only 2.068 kg, which is a considerable saving.
This is one of the first shots taken in not very good light, at Khwai Community reserve, Botswana.
I am quite happy with it as is my old worn out body.
Sony A9 with 100-400 F4 lens at 238 mm

Looks good to me!  Colors and details look very good to me.  Also like the pose you caught the cat in. Looking forward to seeing more from  your lightweight system.  Thanks for sharing.

This is a very nice image, and it appears quite sharp.  I have heard criticism of the sharpness of these lightweight systems.  Certainly doesn't seem to be the case here.  Did you also acquire any lens with a 400mm reach?  I wonder how that compares in terms of sharpness.  My wife and I are interested in these systems too.  I commented this morning that anyone who is younger than 65 wasn't born when I got my first camera (a Brownie Hawkeye!).

And happy you should be.  Excellent results.  I especially like your timing in catching this graceful, active pose of another great cat!

If this image is any indication, you have found a great camera/lens combo. Very sharp.

Thanks everybody for your comments.
More testing is required as is a review of the many other shots I took.
