...baseball season is just around the corner, no bull!  I've been driving by this barn at least three times a week for years and years, always wanted to stop and make a photo, finally did it.devil  West facing barn in full sun about 5 pm, D850, 14-24 @24 mm f9, 64 ISO, 1/100"

Cool barn!!! I might add in a little sky at the top (seems tight to my eye) but real nice take on a classic  barn.

Reno

what an original!  Thank you for sharing. No suggestions except that I agree with putting a little more sky in. That tree is touching the top of the frame which kind of catches my eye.

Cool, Reno. I agree about the need for bit more sky above the tree. Love the cow, and the great color.

Reno!

I drove by here less than 2 weeks ago!  And like you have been driving by and wanting to photograph this for as long as I can remember - decades...  (although not 3 times a week...) I can honestly say I don't think I've ever seen the bull!

Kudos to you for stopping and pulling the trigger.  I've wanted to every single time, but never have.  About halfway between Gilroy and Salinas on Highway 101, drivers flying by at 70mph... no place to pull over except a short driveway traveling north just before the barn.

Now I don't need to stop knowing that you got this. ;-)

Ok, sure, more sky.  But now I can finally spend some time with this - because at 70mph, one can only see the statue of the ball player and the crowd on the barn.  Now, is see #24 at bat - Willie Mays.  Not sure if that's a Cub or Dodger in the field. Dang it though, what's behind the bull?  ;-)

Great stuff, thanks for sharing and thanks for stopping!

Lon, you're right, normally the bull isn't in this paddock area. I drove by the barn twice this day, when I got home I decided this was the day to get my shot.  I was going to wait until sunset but decided to return earlier, good thing, too, as the sun was already falling behind some hills across the highway and casting long tree and hill shadows across the fields.  I wasn't sure of the bulls temperament as I got close to the fence for the photo, he kept a close eye on me but was more than happy to munch on the green grass.  I'll have to go back when the bull isn't there.
