Rain soaked web

Rainy day today. Took a walk around the yard and found a spider web soaked with rain drops. I took this picture from about 1" then blew it up. It yielded some interesting shapes and colors.  I am fascinated by the way moisture reacts to its "host" web.  Infinite shapes and colors.  DOF is always a challenge. You can see the individual strands of the web and reflections of the plants leaves in the drops if you look closely.  PS I added a picture of the web as a whole.

Thanks for taking a look and fB is always valued.

Ry, a fine collection of drops, with each acting as a tiny lens.  You did a good job finding a fairly flat area so that all of the drops are similarly sharp.  The view through the drops is actually refraction (not reflection), but that's my optical physics background talking. sad

This close up of water drops on a spider web makes a great abstract!  I like how you can see the plants in the water drops.  I enjoyed seeing the photo of the whole web too.

These look like crystals Ry. Amazing how clear the foliage is in the center of the drops and how nice a smooth the BG is against them.  Congrats on the WP.
