Another surfing shot from Hawaii.  This is the same surfer as in the image I posted a few weeks ago.  Here is the long view...

Wow, this is a great illustration of the environment of this surfer.  Showing the dark clouds shows us a side of Hawaii that we seldom see.  I wonder if that's rare weather, or something that surfers look for to bring the waves they want.  Excellent composition.  I am wondering where the magenta in the waves comes from.  Was it very early or late in the day?

Here's a repost with color improved.  I also noticed what appeared to be a magenta cast in the waves in the front part of the image, but only in the smaller image but much less in the large image.  I dropped the magenta saturation 100% and it made no difference.  I then dropped the orange saturation and that seemed to improve the color cast issue.  In processing this image initially, I used the latest version of TK luminosity masks which has a setting to remove color cast.  I can see that there is a learning curve with this particular feature.

Great action image!  Good job on this.  I do see the magenta cast in there...but it didn't bother me much.. Too excited about those gorgeous waves.  Nice detail in there.
(This is great to look at, considering it was -5  deg F here this morning, and supposed to get colder tonight.)
