Duck Diver

At my favorite lake, I like to try to catch the dive sequence of the Buffleheads. They are exceedingly fast once they make up their mind to dive. I am always intrigued by the water vacuum formed when the duck first lifts his body out of the water as he prepares to arch his body and dive. Processed with Lightroom, Photoshop and Lightzone. Comments and critiques welcome.

Very neat, Jerry.  I've never really noticed the phenomenon until you pointed it out.  A very interesting and beautiful image.  I've tried to get the same kind of images with other species and they all are so quick that I usually get butts.

Great timing on this Jerry. The water color is gorgeous and the vacuum is a neat detail.
