I love the split legged stretch Sandy. Great over the shoulder look too. Wonderful light and detail. The little branch really adds balance. Unless this is a domesticated bird somehow it seems this should go in the Avian Gallery?

Ed, there is always a question about this tye of image. since there was a very heavy "element of man' in this mage, I thought it should go in the "Man and Fauna" Gallery, as have other similar images. The Moderators have not moved them,  ??

Sorry Sandy, didn't mean to stir, and I agree with you about the hand of man here Sandy. I have posted several shots of wild birds in this gallery also, but just recently read the guidelines. There aren't a lot of posts to this gallery and that could be a good reason to use it as it has been used. Moderators definitely have the final call. None of this takes away from the high quality of this shot either.

Ed,  no , no problem !! I didn't feel challenged at all - it was a very appropriate question - the situation is  just very unclear, and probably should be re-clarified - maybe the Mods would take this opportunity to do so.
Maybe all the images from the bird places ("ranches" ) in Texas and AZ, where they are called in, provided food and water, etc, or baited with meat (the caracaras, for instance) should be considered like a "zoo" and be in the Man and Fauna Gallery?  Sure glad * I * don't have to make the decisions!
