Rain Free Crocus + REPOST

Another crocus shot during our brief dry spell.  The deeper color purple crocus were in full bloom today but the wind was too strong to get a decent shot.  Unfortunately the wind is bringing the rain back tomorrow.

Nice shot Steve.  Gorgeous color and I like your focal point/depth of field choices.  The only tiny nit I have is the out of focus petals in the lower left.  They are drawing my eye a bit too much.  But to crop them out would shorten the crocus stems which would be no good.  Oh well, c'est la vie.

The selective focus make order in the caos, Colors are beautiful, the light is a bit too high but this is only for me may be. I love the photo.

Steve: Another fine crocus shot. I again like your DOF/POF choice. I would crop this from the bottom to get rid of about 75% of the OOF bloom on the bottom edge. I don't mind a small remnant of it but as is I think it is too much of a distraction. 2 thumbs up for your POV and overall result.>=))>

Thank you for the comments and suggestions!.  I had cropped a bit from the bottom for original post but clearly not enough.  Taking more off the bottom does make it a stronger image.  I also lowered the exposure a touch, which gave the colors a bit more pop as well.

The repost is a huge improvement. Amazing how a few minor improvements carry this over the top. Splendid!

I would prefer the light being a bit softer and more even, Steve.  I do like the colors and the subject for sure.  Repost is definitely nicer and emphasizes the blooms themselves more.
