The Miller Park Zoo is a member of the Species Survival Plan (SSP) for the Pallas's cat among other species.  I had the opportunity to photograph the  Artificial Infertilization attempt with the zoo's female Pallas's cat.  A team from the Cincinnati Zoo lead the procedure.  Will take about 40 days to know if the attempt was successful.   Thought it might be interesting to members.

Thank you for posting this. Hopefully the procedure was successful. I like the crossed hands of the person behind. Quite a bit of feeling indicated there.

John, your image gives us a glimpse into one of the less-publicized aspects of trying to reverse the eradication of endangered animals.  I especially like that you were able to include some of the mostly covered Pallas cat and have captured the intent expression of the surgeon as he completes the procedure.  Very informative!

Cool peek under the hood at the clinic John. Especially since it could result in helping to preserve a species.  Great to tell the stories and get people to think and support the effort.
