Rufous Hummingbird

I was putting out a third hummingbird feeder yesterday and positioned it with a reasonable background and added a perch in hopes one would use it. We got some pretty nice evening light, so I went out and spent some time with this fairly cooperative male.

7Dii, Sigma 150-600 C @ 600mm, hand held, f/8, 1/800, iso 1600, aperture priority, pattern metering, -1 EV. Processed in LR & PS CC. Cropped to 9.2 MP. Taken at 6:37 PM yesterday.

Your comments and critiques are always appreciated.

Thanks for taking a look,

Our ruffies have returned too - sweet pose here, fine detail, and nice BG.

Just saw my first one today. Looks as if you had some nice light. Nice pose, perch, and background. Good detail and nice iridescence in the gorget.
