Waxwing Gang

I know it's a very busy background but I liked the positions of the Waxwings. One looking left, one looking right and the one with the berry looking right at me. The light was poor due to clouds passing by.

Thanks for looking, comments & suggestions are always appreciated!

A very neat arrangement of Waxwings, Steve.  Good exposure and excellent detail in all three.  The one with the berry adds a lot to the image.  Well done.

Excellent Steve.  I love that you got all three in good focus, with all that great color, reds, and greens, and bright yellows and soft browns.  Beautiful.

What a neat shot.  The birds look really sharp and I like the background as it adds color and interest to the shot and adds to the story of what the birds are doing.  For what it's worth, I'd rank this in the top one percent of photos I've seen in this gallery.

This is excellent, the background is natural and lacks distracting elements.  Good composition.  The cloudy light was perfect for this type of scene - less shadows. James Audubon couldn't top this.

Steve, this is a fine capture of this colorful group. You say "busy background" but it works great for me. Considering you had at least two other birds in the frame, it's nice that the trio are the main subjects that you framed well. Excellent work.

Fine behavioral image.  This is Waxwing habitat so the background is quite appropriate.    Despite having Catoneaster which has berries almost year-round and raspberries in the summer, I've only seen one of these in my neighborhood.  .

Love this shot Steve, I like how they are spread out in the frame and all have different poses but at the same time good eye contactdevil
