A Day at Sylvan Heights

Hi, I finally remembered to get my friend that photographs with me to take a photo of me with my camera!  We spent a few hours yesterday at Sylvan Heights Bird Park here in North Carolina.  The park is home of over 2,000 birds from all over the world. Many are endangered, and so they are breeding them there and supplying zoos throughout the nation with the off spring.  I was able to talk to Mike Lubbock, the one who started this park and runs it.  Very interesting.  He has done a very nice job.  Of course, like a zoo, it is hard to get good shots for people and surroundings, plus harsh sunlight since they are not open during the sweet light hours.  Still worth visiting once, if you are in the state.
