Namibian Giraffe 2017

Location - Mt. Etjo area of Namibia, three hours north of Windhoek, lot of dust was in the air to give gray/haze effect
Technique - Shot offset silhouette to get the pink fringes of sunset through giraffe mane, shot from Uri vehicle, open topside.
Camera - Nikon D800 Manual set ISO 400, f/6.3, 1/100 sec. Tamron 600 mm lens

I like how you captured this scene, very neat! I like the position of the sun, but wish there was just a bit more room on the right side, the giraffe seems crowded. Still a fine photo. Thanks for sharing.

Nice capture of this giraffe. I'd like to see him/her a little lighter and with some detail in the sun.
I agree it needs more room on the right - easy to add if you don't have it.

This has a strong graphic appeal! Good comp and creative presentation. Welcome to NPN...and I notice that you have not yet shared YOUR reactions to the postings others. That kind of give and take is easy to provide and is what makes the galleries valuable to photographers.
