Sony A7, and old one, Zeiss Vario Tessar 16-35, Stepping Stone lightning trigger, 1/4 sec at f8. Converted in ACR ( don't like Lightroom) then PS CC and Viveza 2, which has nicer colour adustments than PS on its own, specially in the red band   ... or whatever you call it. Water blended from 3 frames.

wow ! that's stunning, especially the large version. Love the detail in the foreground and the composition.

Wow a lot of work you put into this, but well worth it. I am just learning Lightroom. I was an avid user of PS CS but don't want to go to cloud just yet. The blending from three frames definitely stands out. Where was this taken, the image even has a very offworld feel to it which I love.

The picture was taken on Australia's south-east coast, all in all, a nice piece of coastline if you like moody photographs.
As for Lightroom, I don't use it because I know ACR well and, for me, it does anything Lightroom can do.

Crazy scribbles in the sky Barry but I love the light on the foreground rocks.

Lot of melodrama here. Reminds me of Young Frankenstein. The processing work is excellent in my opinion. This probably looks super also in b&w.

Good composition with the angled water and rock ridges. Although this is a stormy and moody image, my personal preference would be for a tiny more brightness and detail of the large spire.

This is very impressive, Barry.  The lines in the foreground pull my eye into the composition and the dark sea stack provides a nice counterpoint to the foreground and really helps the lightning stand out in the frame.  Nicely done!

Barry, this is great! I love the lightning, but that glow on the water and rock in the lower left is really what makes it for me. Like Doug, I would like to see just a little more detail in the spire, and possibly the smaller rock directly below the lightning.

Wow, it doesn't get more dramatic than this! Looks like something foreboding at the beginning of a movie. Really amazing to catch this sideways lightning and the leading lines of the foreground going right to it. Good exposure on the water and excellent light on the rocks.
