Wow! Excellent, Jim. Really cool little character. Good to have all the green (Bulls Tongue?) for the perch and backdrop, emphasizing the tiny scale of this guy. I traded my Olympus when I switched to Canon, but I had that combo, so I know the 2X is an excellent addition to a top grade lens like the 300.
Edit: agave, DUHH!!

It's a beauty, Jim.  The little bird stands out well even as the lines of the leaf edges add some extra interest and a good sense of movement.

Beautiful little hummer, and placed nicely in the frame. Love the intense colors of the bird and softer colors in the background.

This is a spectacular shot of this gorgeous little hummer, Jim!  The green background really makes him stand out.  Great shot for the WC too.

Excellent hummer shot with a fascinating perch and the lines created by the agave.

wow and then wow.  I would burn the area above hummer's head a bit so eye stays n capture.

I love this. The bird is framed so well by the vegetation, and the curves of the leaves are beautiful. Nothing to suggest here...Great image!

Whoever said that 'blue and green should never be seen' didn't know what he/she was talking about. Congrats.
