In Need Of A Tow

Found this old relic near one of the old mines out at JTNP. I never did make it to the Wall Street Mine which is an easy 1 mile trek from this vicinity. I enjoyed the time spent here around the old truck instead. Really could not find any identifying markers on this old truck. My brother Tom thought it was a bit along the line of old International possibly. Must have had some decent power back in it's day with the large looking flat head inline 6 cylinder still in it.

Not much to add to this outing beyond the weather was perfect in the low 60's at sunrise and no wind. Now that spring break is over the park should be getting a bit quieter and I can get back to doing my normal treks out there without dealing with any crowds during the week days.

What a great find, Paul!  I love old left behind vehicles.  B&W works well I think.  Those rocks behind the truck just really adds to it.  It is like the driver just backed it up there, and left it.

Real nice find and image, Paul. The desert is great for having those old wrecks around the mines. You can find a lot of them out in the Mojave NP as well.

Great old truck and perfect perspective to include the cool rocks. The desert climate does well at preserving things.

Paul: what at an excellent composition and BW treatment. The old truck seems so incongruous in this natural setting that it's really eye catching and appealing. Congrats! Richard

Missed this one Paul.  BW works fine here, love the "treasures' one can find while roaming around the desert; looks like the driver thought this was a great place to camp.  Well done.  Congrats on the WP
