I got caught in a rain storm in western Scotland and used this abandoned crofters cottage for shelter. Fortunately, there was enough intact roof to actually provide shelter. I used a slow  shutter speed to emphasize the rain. Olympus E-M1 and 12-40 lens at 1/8, f/4.5 and ISO 200. Richard

sad.....A very interesting take here on this one, Richard. The structure looks to be fairly "shaky", but at least still able to give some needed protection in the end from the rainfall. I can add I've had a couple outings like this myself and one where we wound up in a dilapidated old cabin in a deep forest. Again, it worked well for the respite from the downpour back then.

Glad you got to visit Scotland too. I just finished streaming an old UK multi episode series from Scotland called "Dr. Finley".......laugh

Nice view of the unintended skylight. A real nice and unusual look at nature.

I love the lighting in this one Richard.  It is fascinating to see the "outside" making itself at home on the "inside" here.
