One of my favorite subjects.  My wife and I were out on the local prairie preserve yesterday morning and this one was nice enough to perch in a roadside tree and stay there for a few frames.

7Dii, Sigma 150-600 C @ 600 mm, Hand held shooting through the open driver window from the passenger seat, f/8, 1/800, iso 1000, aperture priority, pattern metering, -2/3 EV.  Processed in LR & PS CC.  Cropped to 17 MP.  A few stray partial leaves removed from the left edge.  Taken at 8:31 am on May 6th.

Your comments and critiques are always appreciated.

Thanks for taking a look,

Really nice look at this little Sparrow Dennis.  The gray background separates the bird well and the tree gives just enough habitat.

Nice light and detail on the Savannah Sparrow.  I haven't seen any yet at my place although I did last year.  I like the pose, the perch, and the darker background.
