Elekala Falls @ Blackwater Falls State Park, WV
Nikon D800, 17mm, 1 sec @ f/22, -.5 ex comp, ISO 200
I forgot to shield the top of my lens, hence the glare at the top from the polarizer

I like this very much Michael. There is something very complete about it, centered. It's direct and unambiguous. I was going to suggest a faster shutter speed to get more detail out of the water but the slower speed has provided more white which keeps the image from appearing gloomy. The larger version is a must because it has more texture which gives life to the rocks.

Excellent, Michael. One of the best of these falls I've seen. You made excellent use of the high water. devil

Michael, a very nice composition of this fall. Shutter speed looks good to me. I love the water flowing around the big jumble of rocks, and the water flowing right to left across the bottom creates a nice base for the image to rest on. The glare that you mention is noticeable, but isn't an image-breaker for me. You might be able to minimize it even further with some desaturation of the blues and a little contrast boost in that area.

This worked out beautifully, Mike. The flow of water around the rock pile works rather nicely as does your SS choice. The large version is a must to truly enjoy all the details in the surrounding rock structure along with the mosses. Really nice take here. BTW the glare is not very noticeable and certainly not a deal breaker.

Michael, I'm really enjoying this! The larger version is a must look and quite impressive IMO. The glare you mentioned is not very noticeable and really doesn't effect this wonderful image at all for me. I like the shutter speed you used and love the details. cool

Very impressive larger image on this one, Michael. I guess my older eyes are missing your point on the glare. I cannot see it per se in this take at all. The 17mm really filled this scene up nicely from edge to edge. Well done.....laugh

A fine look at this falls, Michael.  The big "square" of running water in the fore- and mid-ground works very well with the falls.  The greens show up much better in the larger view.  Having been here, the brightness at the top looks very real.

This is real sweet, Michael. Excellent composition with a lot of depth. The glare doesn't bother me a bit.

Just an excellent comp, the centered falls works perfect with the flow.

Looks good, I often struggle to get these sorts of images right as they tend to have a lot of elements going on at once - and it's sometimes difficult to get an image that isn't too cluttered, but I think it works well here,

The only thing that's nagging me a bit is it feels a little constrained, the waterfall at the back looks great - but it feels squashed into the frame, as does the foreground water - with a big pile of rocks interfering the central interest, would have been nice to see it through a slightly wider lens or further back/higher up

That said - I probably couldn't do any better myself,
