Another from the blind a couple of days ago.  This one was coming in for food and paused back in the grasses with a somewhat clear shot at it.  I'm particularly fond of the head turn it gave me.

7Dii, Sigma 150-600 C @ 516 mm, Jobu Gimbal mounted to blind window, f/8, 1/200, iso 2000, aperture priority, pattern metering.  Processed in LR & PS CC.  Cropped to a 10.7 MP 4x5 for composition.  Taken at 5:08 pm on May 18th under cloudy skies (but not as dark as 38 years earlier).

Your comments and critiques are always appreciated.

Thanks for taking a look,

Well caught, commanding presence in the visual clutter. A good low angle really makes all this work.

I like the low angle of view on this one, Dennis.  That head turn really does make the shot.

I like the point of view and the head turn.  Excellent detail.  You could probably clone the two twigs that cross on the breast.

Great pose he gave you Dennis, there is something a bit odd looking about the eye in this shot but I can't really put my finger on why.  devil
