Trapeze
by Ed Williams
This is a very talented squirrel that was raiding the bird feeders at the Santa Rita Lodge in Madera Canyon. Canon 60D, f8, 1/1600 sec, iso 400, -1 EV, 100-400 ISL ii at 400 mm.
I know according to the guidelines, this one doesn't belong here, but should probably be placed in the Wildlife Gallery since technically this is a wild squirrel, not caged or in a zoo, but since this seems to be the place everyone puts photos of everything that has any sign of human connection in it, here it is.....
"Man & Fauna - This gallery is intended to celebrate the centuries-old close relationship between man and many species of animals. We welcome photos of pets, domestics, animals confined in zoos, wildlife rehabilitation centers, game parks and reserves, as well as feral animals. If the photo was taken at a zoo, wildlife rehabilitiation center, game park or reserve, please disclose the name of the facility where the photo was taken, as well as any other information that would be of value to those interested in wildlife conservation and education. Photos of wildlife taken at commercial game farms are prohibited."
Maybe it's time to change the criteria for this gallery?
