Recovery Party Crasher

I had my second hip replacement Monday and was able to go home Tuesday. On Thursday I made my first foray outside to walk around a small courtyard in front of our house and had to walk right by this ruffled day lily with a crepe myrtle blossom crashing the party. This is a found scene. Chrissy went back in the house and brought me the camera which was a little hard to maneuver in my gimp condition but I like how this turned out. Please view LARGE. Phil: Good question. In the DOF preview it was hard to get the end of the anthers sharp as well as the blossom with anything more open. If I had any stacking skills it would have been a no brainer but still pursuing what I can achieve with single capture. >=))>
Lovely image. I like the extra little blossom there. Many of us would pick it off but it adds to the photo.
Kudos to you for taking this on 3 days after a hip replacement. That is hard core! Best wishes for a continued speedy recovery!
