Cosmos BW
by scott lanz
I was reprocessing this older (2011) cosmos image for a project. After doing so, I then decided to try it in B&W as well. Thoughts? Suggestions? Sorry I have been awol from posting. Computer and life issues. My 27" Imac died, and I replaced it with a macbook, so everything I am doing is on a laptop for now, making processing and even viewing other images more problematic. Will be getting a large monitor at some point.

7 commentsGood question, Phil. Thanks for asking. IMO, only certain types of floral images look good w/o color. As with B&W photography in general, it requires interesting form and textures. Although cosmos have great color, I thought the form of the flower and the lines in the petals, against the soft bg, might work in B&W. Never know until you try.
