So here is another photo from my recent trip to Grand Teton National Park. You may recognize this spot as the iconic Schwabacher's Landing. I had setup for what I had hoped would be a sunrise shot a short distance from this spot (more on that later). As the morning progressed fog began rolling in over the mountains so I decided to visit the iconic spot in hopes of capturing something a little different and expecting that I wouldn't have to compete for a spot.
There was a bit of a breeze, which was a common theme on my trip, so I was not able to get a reflection. I experimented with a longer exposure using a neutral density filter, but in the end I prefer the natural look of the water here. Interestingly as I was making the short walk to this spot I noticed what looked like snow but was actually sleet pellets - Just a typical summer day in the Rocky Mountains!
As always all comments and critiques are welcome. I'm not sure if this will have broad appeal or not, but I like it because with the main peak and familiar profile of the mountains veiled it brings out some different features in the mountains that I wouldn't have otherwise noticed, and of course fog adds some interesting mood to the scene.
