Blue-winged Wasp

I think this is a Blue-winged Wasp, from what I found on the net.  If someone can identify it otherwise, please feel free to do so.  I am hoping that it is, because our flower has had some Japanese Beatles, and from what I read about the Blue-winged Wasp is that it will help keep them down.  I shot this with my Canon 5D Mark II, Canon 100mm L macro lens, KX-800 twin flash with homemade diffuser, handheld ato f16, 1/90, ISO 200.  I edited lightly in Lightroom and NIK.  Full frame. did not crop.  Comments and suggestions are most welcome.  Please view large version.

Shirley, I barely see any "blue wings" enlightened, but sure do like the color match between the wasp and the flower.  The red in the yellow petals also matches the colors in the wasp's body.  The details, the comp. and the focus are excellent.

Hi Shirley,

This is a scoliid wasp and my best guess is that it is Scolia  nobilitata. I like your composition and the bright colors in the photo. Well done.........................Jim
