Sunset Beach 2 w/re-edit

Another in the Sunset Beach series I started a couple days ago.
I cropped more square with this one, as several people suggested, and I agree it's an improvement.
Thoughts from others, please?

This is a considerable improvement. I was going to suggest even more of a crop to eliminate the darker water on top entirely. The way I saw it you could either go with a beautiful beach scene or a more abstract view of the beach and to me the abstract was a stronger vision.

sandy, my suggestion would be to crop a little further to right below the darker ripples running along the top.

Thank you all for the help in improving my landscape photography - we are heading to Australia in a couple weeks, and I need all the help I can get!

Thank you for making the suggested changes, Sandy. I was wrong to suggest this. Your original (version 2) is better. The proportions of shapes within the frame of the newer version seem awkward somehow.

I think this is a really fine image. The sunlight on the crests are just beautiful.

Sandy, This is a wonderful image. I love the light and the contrasting colors are beautiful. Both of these versions are really nice and I think I'm leaning towards the second one as my favorite. I like this a lot. What wonderful light! cool

This is a really beautiful take on the coast Sandy. It appears to be shot from some height and that gives it another dimension of interest. I am also enjoying the light and how it has created those lovely colors. The crop from the top improves upon the original IMO.

Beautiful golden light Sandy. The ripples in the san and water add a lot of interest to the scene. The 6X7 format works best IMO. A lot to love about this beach. Have not been back there in a while.
