Down in the Ditches

Lately our local ponds, creeks, and even ditches offer some good potential for imagery. I've for a long time been fascinated with leaf structures, and the Taro is quite common here. Going for the "rule of thirds" I shot this full frame as found, and in very clean condition except for a tiny bit of debris removed in post.

Nice find in nature, Bill. We only see this type of flora in man made gardens up here. I like the angled comp and use of the lines in the large leaf. I like the soft, even light. If you ever get the chance, these leaves are also great to photograph when strongly backlit.

Bill, I like what Scott has to say, and I will echo it. I would like to see the wonderful structure made more prominent, if possible. Also, there is a piece of dirt near the URC I would make go away.
