"Of Jesse's Lineage"

A bit early for Christmas I guess, but this reminded me so vividly of my favorite Christmas hymn, "Lo How A Rose". A seven image focus stack. Be sure to check the large image for presence, color and detail. The rose was a fragrant shrub rose, perhaps a bit past peak but still lovely.

Thanks for looking. Comments/critiques are welcomed and invited.

Love the light here Phil.  I find the dew/rain on the leaves as captivating as the flower.  Spot on dof too.

I also like the light, and the way the rose stands out of the bg. Well composed with the leaves underneath. The raindrops (which you always seem to get and are becoming a trademark for your floral photographs) are a nice touch for mood. Overall, a beautiful rose image, Phil.

I know even from the thumbnails that a flower is yours -
beautiful detail here in the flowers and leaves.
Gorgeous apricot colour against the water-dropped green leaves and BG.
I find my eye being pulled toward that stem on the right, so you might consider cloning out the top part of the stem and perhaps even the bottom part.
Beautiful bloom -

Sandy
