A month ago, there were 3 newly-hatched eaglets in Nome. I went back recently  to get them bigger - but found only one left, and - since it had gotten ALL the food - it was HUGE. Disappointing, but still a worthwhile brief second trip.

Sandy

Great capture.  This one is a big baby!!!  Kudos to you for going to Nome twice!

One very small thing.  I find my eye going to the flower in the lower right.  Maybe that is because I am so fascinated with flowers at the moment, but if it was me, I would take it out.

Good thing you did't offer it a finger, Sandy-it still looks very hungry.  It sure did develop in six weeks.  I like the pose and it's cool that you were able to get the flower in the frame.

This was a great opportunity and you made the most of it with a fine image. Eagles do not always nest in place that are conducive to photography.
