Broad-winged Skipper Butterfly Scarborough Maine,

FujiFilm = XPro-1, lens 50-270, shot at 230mm, 1/600, F14, ISO1250, Aperture Priority, Average Metering

Just got an ID from a butterfly expert in Maine and she said Broad-winged Skipper when I posted it on the Maine FB page. Hope this is a correct ID.

Norma, this is a fine look at this Little Glassywing on a dandelion.  The sharpness in both the bf and the flower looks great.  The background is very complementary, especially to the flower with the gentle structure adding extra interest.

Hi Norma,

This skipper is tack sharp and your exposure is spot on.  The yellows in the flower have nice detail. No nits from medevil.....................Jim

Really nice one, Norma. Seems that f14 and ISO 1250 worked very well to get both in good focus. That's really a close look, so I would be curious to see the original for comparison, or at least know how you cropped.  Might be just me, but I think you could do well to go a little brighter.
