A Savannah Sparrow on a log. The bright little yellow flowers gave it a real Summer feeling.

Hi Gary,
I like the comp and I wish that the sparrow was bigger in the frame. Overall, the DOF looks good and you producied a pleasing image of the savannah sparrow.........................................Jim

Nice job on the sparrow and I like the composition in general, Gary. I do find the out-of-focus end of the log staring me in the face a bit distracting, but I don't know what you could do about it. I know from shooting these that you'd have trouble moving without the bird flying off.

Gary - Very tough to get close to these skittish birds. The bird seems a little soft, and the OOF end of the log, as Dennis mentioned, is a little distracting. The pose, flowers, and BG are nice "plusses".
