Hadeda Ibis

The only way you usually see Hadeda Ibis in southern Africa is when they fly over in a flock making a huge racket, often before dawn when you aren't quite ready to get up. I was fortunate to find this one sitting quietly last May in Kirstenbosch Gardens in Cape Town. It is actually quite a striking bird.  Despite the fact that it was under a dark canopy, and I was using my Canon 7D II requiring a high ISO, I managed to get this image without too much grain.  Canon EOS 7D Mark II, Canon EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM at 240mm, f/6.3 at 1/320th, ISO 3200.

That's a very good bird. I like the shot and pose, but I wonder if you could pull the overly-bright back and top of head down just a bit?

Very nice image Charles.  I don't see any noise here, in spite of the high ISO.  I agree with Jim about the brightness, but for me it's a small nit.
