Warbler Round Up

Just to finish up the warblers that came to my pond/drip setup the last few weeks, here's a Black-throated Gray that popped in very briefly.  I was amazed to get six species of warblers in that short a time and not in an area I consider conducive to most of them.

7Dii, Sigma 150-600 C @ 600 mm, tripod with ballhead and Sidekick, f/8, 1/500, iso 2000, aperture priority, pattern metering, -2/3 EV.  Processed in LR & PS CC.  Cropped to 9.9 MP.  Taken at 8:49 am on August 3rd.

Domments and suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks,

Very nice eye level look at.the Warbler.  Your set up seems to be attracting birds most of us don't see at our home feeders.

A very nice bathing shot, Dennis.  The exposure is just right and the plumage detail is excellent.

Really nice head turn and very sharp plumage both wet and dry.  I think you could have done this at F6 .3 to create a little more of an out of focus background.  I'm impressed with the variety of Warblers you've had at your place this year.  I haven't seen a single one.

I wasn't sure what I was looking at in the thumbnail, Dennis. This is a delightful look at the warbler. I like the low angle, alert pose  and nice light in the image. Only improvement I can think of is if you got the warbler head against the background rather than the pebble. devil

I like the low angle, pose and wonderful detail.  Was he in an elevated water source like a bird bath?

Hi Dennis,

Looks pretty good. You may want to move or lower down that pebble so more of the BG shows up at the water level.....................Jim

Excellent! Beautiful bird I've never seen.
Nice pose, bright eye, and interesting pond/wet feathers.
Your great pond shots have me thinking how I can integrate a pond/waterfall setup in our garden next spring .
Hmmm.......
