Here's another from the same day shoot. Again, I like hte red BG on this and think it makes it more unique.

Please view large version for details.

Incredible sharpness to the Stilt and it really pops against the red background.  The colors in the water also add to the enjoyment of the image.

Absolutely needs to be seen in the larger image. Incredible detail. Yes, the deep red background really makes this image work.

Hi Kurt
Looks good. The large view is essential for one to see the details including the bill, which disappears from view in the smaller version.  Nice details in the blacks and whites.devil.................Jim

Excellent capture of the landing, Kurt. I like the details on the wings, and their positions and lighting are are ideal. These are rather tough birds to capture in flight. As others have said, the background is a big part what makes this shine and the larger version is wonderful.

Great landing photo, Kurt!  Perfect exposure, great detail and the rich, reddish background colors make it special.  The beak doesn't show up very well in the small version but that's not the case in the large image.  The large image is definitely required viewing for this shot.  The clarity, colors and presence are far more impressive!  devil
