About 6 weeks ago before the monsoon got crazy, had a lot of fun at the water ranch with the Snowy Egrets and Black-necked Stilts. This is from the same weekend as my last couple of posts.

As usual, please view large image.

Nice close-up look with excellent detail.  The water activity adds a lot to the image.

Just a great low angle shot of Snowys doing what Snowys do. The whites are well under control, with good detail. The water drops are frozen in place and are a significant contribution to the image. A technically perfect action shot, well made!devil

Beautiful capture, Kurt.  Those wate rdrops do add so much to this image.  The fast shutter speed froze them perfectly.  Just a great image of this beautiful Snowy.

Neat capture beautifully exposed Kurt, plenty of speed to freeze the water for sure.

Hi Kurt
That is a really nice nature photograph.  I like the reflection and well controlled whites.

Kurt, you really nailed the timing and posture for the strike, and at 1/8000 those frozen droplets look like ice. The details and exposure of the whites look great. The shadows on the head are curious - guess they're from the splash(?)

Superb detail and a nice low angle, Kurt.  The shadows of the water drops are an interesting touch.

The whites of the egret stand out against the water and dark background, Kurt. Nice low angle makes for a very pleasant reflection. Techs look very good and as others have said, the flying droplets add a lot and convey the feeding activity very well.

Hello, Kurt,

The water droplets, splash and pose make it a very dynamic image. Tech are top notch as usual, so I can only love it devil, Cheers, Hans
