I shot this handheld at Huntington Beach State Park Aug 23rd with Canon 7D Mark II, Canon 100-400mm L lens at 250mm, f6.3, 1/800, ISO 125.  Edited in Lightroom and NIK.  Cropped to 94% of original frame for better composition.  Comments and suggestions welcome.

Good job hand holding this, Shirley. I like the lifted foot and the bill just touching the surface. While the surroundings are less than ideal, we know that's a natural environment. And you're right, the reflections really help. I think that with the tallish aspect of bird and reflection, the comp would work well if you cropped a little off the LHS.

Very good, Shirley.  I like the pose and you got a great reflection.  Detail and exposure both look excellent.  While a lower angle is sometimes nice, in this case, it would have just put more mud in the background, so this worked to your advantage.

Lovely shot Shirley, the reflection is great.  To me it looks like it needs just a touch of clockwise rotation.  devil

Excellent image!  Well composed.  I like the detail and color.  One of your best posts.

Shirley, the mirror image of your white ibis is interesting.  The way the beak appears to continue making it appear very long until your eye hits the other bird face is very whimsical. The colors of the water and plant life bring it all together. I agree with David this is certainly one of your top post. . . love it!!! Have never seen this bird in the wild only the glossy ibis. Nice find!
