Tree Shadows and I-15 Wall

This is at the exit that I take for work each day off Interstate 15 in Draper UT. They have really worked on beautifying the on and off ramps. The shadows of the trees along with the lines on the wall caught my eye. I just had to wait for a day where the sun was shining brightly for the shadows, and the light was red so I could get the shot!

Desaturated in RSE so that the bright yellow of the wall was not so distracting.

Any thougths appreciated!

Nathan

Nikon D70, Tamron 24-135 (I think), ISO 200
Digi Darkroom: Desaturated and converted in RSE, resize and sharpen in PSE

Way, way cool, Nathan!
It really is fascinating and mind-bending. What a strange world.

Hey, want a used canon elan II?? Didn't think so...

That's a very interesting composition Nathan. Desaturating to greyscale creates a very distinct optical illusion, lokks like a giant metal fence rather than a wall. I like the trees of course...

What tricks this plays on the eyes and head!! Like a pieced together sky...strange combination of elements that is quite puzzling. You must have driven by this a gazillion times looking and waiting for the right moment to photograph it. Nice one Nathan.

Nathan,
This is really neat! It does mess with the mind. I too thought it looked like a wire fence. Great job! I really like this!

Thanks everyone for the thoughts! You can bet that I will try this again, I hope I can get another good opportunity before the leaves grow on the tree. I agree about the patch of snow John.
