Canon 10D, Tamron 90mm Macro lens, Av mode,

Manual focus, iso 100, Raw, Mirror locked up,
Remote release. Gitzo 1548/B1.

Full frame.

Hi,

Went exploring a local Bluebell wood yesterday evening.
Watched a fox cub and a pair of Roe Deer (not together).
Photographed some Bluebells, then photographed an ant
Then turned my lens on this attractive flower which I believe is Herb-Robert.
I quite liked the surreal effect of the flower floating in mid-air against the bright sunlit leaf, although a 'stem-less' flower might not be how we usually see them.

All comments always welcome and appreciated.

Stunning image. I like the surreal feeling the lack of stem lends to this shot. Nice light, saturated colors, and well framed. I might crop a bit tighter, but either way i like it.

Justin this is quite simply lovely, the petal textures look great even at this resolution. Can’t see what improvements could have been made

Matthew

I like the floating effect too. Don't even need my 3-D glasses to get that reach out and touch it feeling. Cool.

Hello Justin,

Haven't heard from you in sometime. Very nice image with super sharpness. I like the off center placement of the flower and how it stands out strongly from the background, well done. :toast: :toast:

Beautiful image - perfect as it is. Something about the background really makes the image.
