Palm Warbler
by Robert Royse
Here's another Michigan warbler. "The books" all say that Palms are rare nesters in the Michigan U.P., but I find quite a lot of them singing on territory in certain places. Their most frequently used habitat is open bogs, but they'll readily use jack pines too. This was in a fairly new (a couple years old) jack pine tract. Hopefully some Kirtland's will show up in this spot eventually too.
