My wife obliged me by shooting me with an old friend. I will replace this with me shooting something after I get her permission and borrow an image from her...

Actually, my friend lived in downtown Columbus at 140 East Town Street. She was the dominant female in the little pocket park, and was killed when the building management found their underground sprinkler system hose had been gnawed. They destroyed ~15 chipmunks with traps and poison, and I nearly lost my job trying to stop them.

When she would hear me walking down the sidewalk on my way to lunch, she would come charging and climb my leg to wait for her cheek-fulls of oiler sunflower seeds and peanuts. She would race off to store them and I would return with my food to eat in the park and feed about a dozen at a time. When she showed up, the others scattered like leaves in a wind. When she left, they would converge almost as fast.

A very sweet photo, Jim - it makes the narrative truly heartbreaking. I am sorry for the loss of you dear little friend.

Jim,
Nice to see you and your friend. Too bad about the guy and his traps and poison. I wish there could have been a better way to deal with the problem. A friend of mine works just down the road from where I am working, so I spent a few lunches down there, on the back porch. They have two chipmunks they fed peanuts to all summer. They were so much fun to have running up and begging for those peanuts!
