Ryan DesJardins - PNWNP

Hi there. This image was taken in the middle of Alvord "Lake" with Steens Mountain (9,733 ft) in the background. If there is anyone out there who thinks Oregon is all about rain, you won't find more than 6" a year here in the Alvord Desert.

I live in Portland, Oregon (36.8" rain a year, yes we do get our fair share, but it is actually less than several cities like Atlanta, Birmingham, Houston, Indianapolis or Seattle).

I'm usually out and about in either my blue or my red Subaru looking for new images. My full time career (9-1-1 Center Management) allows me a decent amount of time to get out and enjoy my most important hobby.

This forum has been very helpful, and I appreciate the honest critiques and comments. I also enjoy talking shop about photography and the digital darkroom.
