Mark, great light and a wonderful variety of color. The composition seems a bit clutered but the flow of your eye in the image does work. I hope you captured a good number of images in this local.

Hmm.. I think I've seen this before somewhere. I love the warm light and interesting perspective. Lots of interesting textures - from the lichen-covered rocks to the ground cover, pine needles, and bark. Very interesting image.

If this were my photograph, I would have..... ;)

Ditto the comments before me. Great light, textures, and details. The leaning trees - which appear to be an effect of a down-tilted camera - are a little trippy, but I don't find them to have an adverse effect upon the overall image. In some respects, the light completely makes the image. If one took the light away, it would be easy to say "what was he looking at?".

Nicely done.

The colours here are surprisingly vibrant, almost jarring when contrasted against the somber grey rock. The perspective and distortion is slightly disorienting (in a good way). The elements are harmoniously selected and arrange in the field of view.

Nice banding of that existing in the light and the unfortunate. Eric mentioned the contrasts with the gray stone and the warm light which also caught my attention. Unusual perspective - I can't shake the impression of being a little boy with my fishing pole running down to the lakes edge. The tilted trees enhance that feeling.

At first I thought the perspective on this shot was a bit off, but after whacking my right tempral lobe on the kitchen cabinet, everything looks normal again.
