Has the surfer raised up on his board to look in vain for one last wave or just to admire this amazing scene?

Nikon F100; Nikkor 75-300mm; Provia 100F; PS Levels, USM, and gradient fill in linear dodge mode on left side; cropped from bottom and a little from top to create pano.

This is one sweet shot! I love everything about it.

This is one of my favorite images that I have viewed in the Man and Nature Gallery. I am kind of a beach bum myself though.

It doesn't look like the waves were very good for the surfer.

This is sweet! In addition to the surfer, the lights on the fishing shack also add detail and draw you across the image.

Thanks to all of you for your positive comments. I'm glad you enjoyed this image. Sunsets like this are one of the few positives of Southern CA's legendary smog. :cool:
