"The Solway" from Caerlaverock where Nick and I met up on Sunday. This is a photo from the Saturday evening sunset.

FYI "The Solway" is one of our versions of the Cheaspeake, although not quite as long it does attract a lot or waterfowl fro iceland during the winter months. Caerlaverock is a Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust site (www.wwt.org.uk) and has a number of hides that overlook the estuary.

These are Barnacle Geese in flight to their evening roost.
