----------

Nikon N60 with Nikkor 70-300, 1/30 f5,6, Fuji Provia, iso 100, tripod, flash at -2.0. Prov.PC , Italy.

In a grassland near the Trebbia river the rays of sun enlighten the grass spangled by dew. The leaves are of a bright translucent green and the drops of water shines as gems . All is light, and the beautifulness of the nature is an invitation to stop and quietly looking.

I toke the photo on mid december 2003; I lowered the tripod as much as possible and I used fill flash at -2.0 to get more detail. On computer : USM, saturation, 85% of full frame.

Comments and critiques are always appreciated

Juza

Nice photograph with great detail. The dark area in the background and the out of focus grass in the foreqround bothers me a little.

I find dew difficult to capture well, but you've done well here, Juza. I think that the OOF blades in the foreground compliment the image and add depth. Well done!

Emanuele,

Now this is really nice. This is my type of photography, playing with light. When ever possible I will always try for a backlit subject. You done a great job on this one. My only nit would be the dark area of the BG; would have been nice to get that nice green completely in the frame. When I shoot macros, I treat the BG equally with the subject. I think a slight move to the right would have eliminated that dark area. Still, this is a super shot and the dew just pushed this one over the top, great job.

This shot has so much motion that every strand seems to dance! I love the way each droplet shines - excellent capture. It was a great idea to keep the tall strands on the left, it adds to the sense of motion.

Thanks for sharing!

Juza - Very nice capture. Reminds me of a cool summer morning, and dewy breezes, when I was able to see the ground and little critters were everywhere. I may have to come back to this many times and continue this daydream. Thanks!
